Chautauqua Dining Hall and Park
Chautauqua Park and Dining Hall is set in the picturesque foothills of Boulder. We wandered around the beautiful park before our reservation at 6.30 pm. We were seated at a table in the open patio overlooking the park. We were surprised to be served water without ice as we have to ask for it at every other restaurant we have been. I asked the waitress about it and she told thats how they did it at the dining hall. What a delight! We had a very nice five course meal ending up with a cardamom infused panacotta with black berry sauce.
After dinner we roamed around the park. We could hear the pianist from the piano concert at the concert hall next door. We were surprised to find a few people with lawn chairs outside the indoor concert hall listening to the concert gratis. Just across where we sat in the park, a very big family was having dinner and were enjoying their wine. The sun set the sky on fire as it bid adieu. We lounged around inhaling the atmosphere and the views around us.
